Mark Lutzi has been with Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort for a little over a year now. He was a RISE intern during the fall of 2021 while attending his final semester at UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management. After completing the internship program, he accepted a full time role as an department trainer for the front desk at Orange Lake Resort. Most recently he was promoted to the MIT role at Orange Lake Resort. When not at work Mark likes to spend time outdoors at the beach, golfing, wakeboarding, and even skiing in the winter.
Why did you decide to do RISE?
I decided on the RISE program as I was looking for more leadership experience in the resort industry before graduation.
What was your RISE experience like?
My experience with RISE was fantastic. I had an excellent support network of other leaders and team members to help me grow and understand the industry. The RISE program offered me the opportunity within a structured program to learn more about the resort industry and prepare me for future growth within Holiday Inn Club Vacations.
How has RISE helped in your career development?
RISE has done a lot in terms of my career development. I was able to practice and learn important fundamentals of being a leader. These leadership skills helped me prepare for the MIT program. RISE also presented me the opportunity to network with other leaders within the company who offered advice and guidance.
Stay tuned each month as we feature more RISE alumni and share their RISE-ing up stories!
