Expansions is a six-month leadership development program which uses real-life projects to facilitate leadership skills along with a mentorship and self-study assignments. Each month we’re highlighting team members who are taking their leadership development by the reigns and taking advantage of this program hosted by the Academy of Learning & Development.
When asked why she applied for Expansions, this is what Jennifer had to say:
I developed the interest in the Expansions program as a way to continue growing professionally and acquire additionally skills that would allow me to increase my scope and responsibility within the company. My goal is to lead high impact projects that would continue to support our business strategy and the program was a great opportunity to challenge myself and continue to take steps towards my continuous development.
What are your takeaways from being part of Expansions?
I strengthened my confidence when leading a team towards a shared goal as I stepped out my comfort zone. I was able to build relationships and work with leaders from teams that I had not worked with before. In addition, I had the opportunity to get guidance, feedback, and inspiration from senior leadership and I’m really grateful for that!
