The Academy of Learning & Development recently graduated its 2021 Expansions class. This six-month leadership development program uses real-life projects to facilitate leadership skills along with mentorship and self-study assignments. This group was entirely virtual due to the impact of the pandemic.
When asked why he applied for Expansions, this is what Angel had to say:
I joined Expansions to take on new challenges and make connections with various entities to ensure I have a larger grasp on different roles within the company to expand my knowledge and interest in growing within Holiday Inn Club Vacations.
What are your takeaways from being part of Expansions?
Everything I learned throughout the program has been eye-opening, as I have a better understanding of how well-connected many departments are, even when they don’t work together side-by-side. Along with that, I gained additional knowledge on what it takes to be an effective leader, and how being open to opportunities, and creating connections with other leaders will ensure success in whatever task or project is focused on. It was a wonderful opportunity that I enjoyed entirely and have begun speaking to team members that are interested in growing within Holiday Inn Club Vacations so they may apply for the next enrollment.
