Every quarter we are talking to different leaders that attended Leading Within Our Culture (LWOC). LWOC is a new leader orientation that enables leaders to better understand the different business functions that interact together to create a memorable customer and team member experience. This is an opportunity to network, talk with executives, and learn more about our business and culture. The next LWOC is scheduled to take place in May, and we are excited to welcome a new group of leaders.
This month we are highlighting two awesome leaders, Tiffany, and Landon. Tiffany attended LWOC in March 2022 and Landon attended the most recent LWOC in January 2023. They offer advice to new leaders starting with the company and reflect on their time at LWOC as new leaders within HICV.
Meet Tiffany Adames – National Group Sales Manager
We asked Tiffany what her biggest takeaway was from LWOC, and she had this to say:
I would say meeting and learning from our Executive Team over different departments. Also, future endeavors and learning more about our culture.
What is one piece of advice you would offer new leaders starting with HICV?
Attend LWOC – I learned a lot, met people on different teams, and got a great tour of Orange Lake Resort to see what our guests see. Our culture is so different from other companies I have worked for, and this was one amazing step towards fitting in and sharing that culture, and more productive at work!
Meet Landon Smith – Assistant Front Office Manager
We asked Landon what his biggest takeaway was from LWOC, and he had this to say:
I loved learning about how invested our company is with us as leaders. I appreciated learning new tips and tricks from other leaders within the company that I will take to my resort!
What is one piece of advice you would offer new leaders starting with HICV?
Keep an open mind and
learn something new everyday! As someone who has never worked for a timeshare
company, it’s great to work as a team to exceed guest’s expectations.
