Meet Tammy Daves – Manager of Corporate Sales & Marketing Administrative Services & 2021 Expansions Graduate

“On my darkest days, when I feel inadequate, unloved and unworthy, I remember whose daughter I am and I straighten my crown”

Each month we’re highlighting team members who are continuing their development and chasing their career goals through the Academy of Learning & Developments program, Expansions. This six-month program uses real-life projects to facilitate leadership skills along with mentorship and self-study assignments.

When asked why she applied for Expansions, this is what Tammy had to say:

The most interesting part of my work with Holiday Inn Club Vacations has been the diverse nature of what we do every day. The Expansions program is a perfect fit for my goals of learning from the best, brightest, and most respected leaders and to share these experiences with my team. The opportunity to be a part of shaping the future of the Company was something I didn’t want to miss.

What are your takeaways from being part of Expansions?

My Expansions task was to document and help create the “Ultimate Guest Experience” through the Evolve program. Our Corporate leaders spent one week during the summer connecting with the product, the Members and Guests, and our front-line employees. Being part of the inaugural Evolve program was very challenging, informative, educational and one of the highlights of my 9 years with Holiday Inn Club Vacations. Understanding what customer obsession looks and feels like gives you a renewed outlook on how we can support each other in our mission in being the most loved brand in family travel. I learned so much during the program from some amazing people willing to take on the projects and train us. One of the biggest takeaways was learning to take all the feedback and transfer it into a story of improvement and future goals. And then seeing the improvements come to fruition has been so rewarding. So, please don’t ever underestimate yourself, work hard even if your task is small and seems unimportant ~ follow your dreams.

Be on the lookout for other rising leaders, like Tammy, as we continue this monthly series spotlighting our leadership development program graduates.
