The River Has Roots

by Amal El-Mohtar.

Teri Cross shares her must-read:

“Summary: Follow the river Liss to the small town of Thistleford, on the edge of Faerie, and meet two sisters who cannot be separate, even in death. The Hawthorn family tend and harvest the enchanted willows and honor an ancient pact to sing to them in thanks for their magic.

My take:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was more of a short story so it was a very quick read. If you have a sister you’re close to, I think you would enjoy this book. Magic, love, heartbreak- lots of stuff crammed into 133 pages but it was such a pretty story. It made me miss my sister a bit.”
