Expansions is a six-month leadership development program for emerging and evolving leaders that uses self-study assignments, mentorship, and real-life projects to foster leadership development. Each quarter we are excited to highlight an Expansions graduate as they continue their development journey. This month we were able to catch up with Sue-Ellen. She is our assistant front desk manager at the beautiful Holiday Hills Resort. She was one of our Expansions graduates from one of our most recent classes and worked alongside the rest of her team on the first phase of “Project Knowledge”.
We are also so excited announce that our most recent Expansions class graduated last month. It was so great to see all their final presentations and celebrate all their accomplishments over the past six months. Congratulates again and we are so excited to see where you grow in the future.
When asked ‘why did you choose to be part of Expansions’ this is what Sue-Ellen had to say:
I chose to be a part of Expansions to get out of my comfort zone and challenge myself to make contacts with team members in other career fields within HICV that I might not have ever had the opportunity to interact with.
What are your takeaways from being part of Expansions?
Expansions taught me so many things that it is hard to pick just one thing, but if I have to choose I would say it has helped me become a better leader in that I am always trying to think of new ways to make our teams even better than they already are and it helped me realize how many opportunities there are for all employees at HICV and I love sharing that with my team.
